no, it doesn’t bother me in the least…i worship Christ, not a symbol; if it speaks to your personal fashion/artistic sensiblities, i don’t see how you’re harming anyone…personally, i enjoy native american art and jewelry…my wife (native american) calls me ‘a whiter shade of pale’

The symbol of the cross pre-dates christianity. Just because someone wears a cross does not automatically mean they are a christian. I’m of celtic origin and if I want to wear a celtic cross, I will.

It doesn’t bother me, I’m just curious as to why they would wear a cross if they don’t believe the meaning behind the cross, The Jesus that the cross stands for is powerful enough to save souls.

No it doesn’t bother me seeing anyone wear a cross. A cross doesn’t tell me what the person’s beliefs are because. I’m a Christian that does not wear a cross. Because I’d rather my actions speak for me.

No, I’m actually glad by it. A lot of people say they don’t believe in God and certainly not Jesus, yet wear crosses. That means they at least feel something good surrounding those things enough to wear the symbol of it. People may deny God with their words and actions but they still want His symbol near them.

I never wear a Cross. The Bible teaches me that cursed is a man who hangs on a Cross.
I think is was Emperor Constantine in AD 313 who under a disguise took on the Christian faith, but changed it by bearing the Cross only. This became a symbol of good fortune for his soldiers and his country. From then onwards people have used the Cross for many things down the ages, but have never understood the ‘message of the Cross.’ It is worn as a good luck charm.

Just an aside….I found the Sistine Chapel ceiling to be a bit disappointing. But then again, I have an Art degree, so in my travels I pretty much go to find EVERY single darned bit of art they have…

But I digress. I did, however, find the Final Judgment (the side wall of the chapel) to be fantastic. Absolutely amazing.
