As for the why always shops, etc, I have no idea. Probably the directors are trying to give the ‘mood’ of 24 c. stuff?
Well, I figure the kind of people who sign up to serve on an exploration starship would probably tend to have a love of the stars, so it sort of makes sense that they’d like space art.
Puppies with big eyes might be nice. Good question.
Yes , I would say that the Cosmos and all of it’s beauty and wonder has become blase’ .
