a big rainbow that leaks colours into a big puddle on the floor.
you could make half a rainbow that leans up against the wall so looks like it goes into it, the puddle is the stand to hold it all up
With a topic like “color” you could make almost anything, so I would just go with painting whatever you like to paint! You could do something abstract – most of the artists who worked purely with color in mind did away with representationalism to focus only on color. But if you don’t want to go purely abstract, you could make a lot of tiny postage-stamp size squares on a canvas or paper that look like different colors up close, but when you stand back you see an image made from the squares. Or you could paint the same scene four different times at different times of day like Monet did with haystacks. Then put the four pictures into a grid like Warhol. Good luck!
