questions4answers asked:

My mom does this art work (make wall decors) back in india. And i live in america. she only does it to decorate her own house. and i have convinced her to turn her talent into profession. now my question is does she or i need any kind of import or export license so that she can send me those wall decors to america and i can sell them on ebay and sell them on my store. remember it is only a small business. Thankyou!

big or small business, you should contact customs and talk to an expert on this matter. good luck

no, she is not selling them to you, tell her she is giving you a gift, this way you do not have to have an import license, but on the down side if they get damaged or lost you can’t write it off on your taxes.

You just need a DHL, or Fed-Ex account.

find a safe way to ship them and just to be sure check in customs so you dont have any problems

As long you pay your taxes to do everything in the right way… if unsure about it why not contact the “e.d.d.” about it.it might be a little help better than not knowing at all. cheers!

    It’s a gift…you’re not paying for them.
