B U S Y asked:
I walked into a shop recently which sold authentic indian american art including jewelry and seemed to be very passionate about the indian culture. On the other side of the store was folk art/primitive decor/whatever you call it. You know, early english/american stuff. Well anyway, this confuses me. Wouldnt the people who lived in the early american era be the same people who forced the indians away from thier homeland? Or did they try to help them? Like when Thanksgiving came about? I am taking graphic design classes and I would like to do something for free for this store and want to learn as much as I can about the history of thier products.
sheesh calm down. This is all in one store by one owner… Do you know anything about the crafts/decor/art that I am talking about?
I guess an additional question would be does anyone know what kind of primitive art I am speaking of and approximately what time frame is it from?

Ok, take a wild guess as to the answer of whether those in the early american era HELPED the natives out or not. I will give you a hint…
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. They HELPED them to near extinction by spreading their filthy diseases and murdering them. They HELPED **** the land of much of its resources by callously killing of thousands of livestock and wildlife.
If I owned that store, I would march over to the early american side, stick a native flag in the center of her store, give her a disease-ridden blanket and pelt her with stones. You know, return the favor.
If I walked into a shop that sold authentic American Indian art and jewellery, I would be very happy to find such a shop. So few shops support American Indian artisans or sell their products.
On the other hand if the products were imported Indian style art. Then I probably be discussed because that is all most stores sell. It’s just another example of people making money at our expanse.
