I am October ^_^
Now granted I’ve only known this guy 6 days, I met him when I was out with my girlfriends Friday night. He’s a great guy, we’ve been spending a lot of time together since, and went out to dinner last night.
I’d like to get him something for Christmas. He just moved in to a new house, and everything he has for his house is still in storage.
My thing is, I don’t want to get something too big, or too lovey dovey. We aren’t serious yet, but we do like each other and enjoy spending time together.
What can I get him that won’t scare him away, but will allow for us to spend more time together?
Any ideas?
He has a harley and a crotch rocket, he’s into bikes, 4-wheeling, quadding, camping, fishing, etc. He likes contemporary art, home decor?
I just need ideas! Please thanks!
Talk about last minute I’m going shopping for xmas gifts tonight!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!
You might wonder why an atheist would wear these things if they don’t believe. I’ve worn crosses all my life, and I’ve pretty much always incorported religious art into my home decor, simply because I find some of it to be very beautiful (who can deny the Sistine Chapel is gorgeous?).
Your opinions?
I haven’t rated the answers, the thumbs down didn’t come from me. Sorry about that.
Shawn…some are beautifully intricate, and some are beautiful in their simplicity. I think it’s really just a matter of personal taste.

Hi all,
I am a big disney fan, and i heard that you can buy old style disneyworld/disneyland posters? E.g. old Magic Kingdom replica posters like the ones they have up around the parks. Just thought it would make a great bit of home decor for the study. I have found a few disney art sites but havent managed to find actual theme park posters. Can anyone offer any suggestions??
Cheers!
I have to get 6 gifts this year for christmas, any ideas.
Please dont make suggestions too expensive, maybe up to $50 but more like 20-30.
My sister: 12 years old, into fashion, clothing, makeup, volleyball (is this a good idea??http://www.amazon.com/Hasbro-Designers-World-Plug-Game/dp/B000EPFEUM/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1195944254&sr=1-1
My Brother: 29 years old, likes simpsons, Minnesota Twins
My Sister: 30 years old, loves powerpuff girls and Buffy the Vampire
My Mom: loves art, cooking, home decor, and the University of Iowa
My Stepdad: loves the simpsons, comedy movies/tv shows,
My Stepmom: loves books, The Minnesota Twins, the Minnesota Gophers, and the MN Vikings.
i’m reading the book “why art cannot be taught” and it talks about the process of getting professionally critiqued. i seem to not be getting “the bigger” picture. is the purpose of getting critiqued is to change your current artwork that is being looked at? or is it for future reference when making another piece? and why would you want your piece to please these people? wouldn’t that mean you are not making art for yourself but art for the critics? and if so, why bother learning our own style, why not just learn what the critics like and recreate the same work over and over?
i would maybe be more understanding if the art that is being looked at is for a home decor, but when it comes to the art that can impact the world or has this hidden beautiful meaning that isn’t meant to “just be a pretty picture” i don’t feel that other peopleopinionsns matter in order to make that form.. because if theropinionsns did matter, then what would be the purpose of the artist? the critics would know it all and create all of the best in the eyes of everyone because no one else knows more than them.
hmm.. thoughts?
