London was especially prosperous in the eighteenth century and it became the biggest city in the world from 1831 to 1925. the growth of london was helped by London’s first railways, which put country towns within easy reach of the city. The train network expanded extremely rapidly, which made London grow into its surrounding areas and come together with nearby settlements such as Kensington.

Since then, London continues to thrive and it remains one of the biggest cities in the world.

London is well known for its fabulous museums and art galleries.
